The Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences has the pleasure of inviting Dr. Kevin Jackson (Corvinus Univesity of Budapest) who is going to give a lecture entitled
Digital Disruption, COVID 19, and the New World
Time: 23rd April 2020 – 17:00 CEST
The word “disruption” refers to the ability of smaller companies with fewer resources to successfully challenge well established businesses. The strategy and research firm, Innosight, forecasts that nearly 50% of the current S&P 500 will be replaced over the next ten years due to disruption. Now consider how economic shocks, like the financial crisis of 2007-8 and COVID 19, can further accelerate the disruption process. In this seminar, we will explore the relentless path of disruption and how the world will change following the most severe economic downturn since the Great Depression.
