AACSB Insights article: Developing embodied managers
A new AACSB Insights article argues that responsible leadership requires more than analytical skills and AI-assisted decision-making. The article introduces the concept of somatic literacy, the ability to recognize and interpret the body’s signals, such as tension, breathing patterns, and emotional reactions, especially under pressure. According to the article, ethical failures often arise not from bad intentions but from accumulated stress, emotional avoidance, and the gradual outsourcing of responsibility.
