Europass document: Opening doors to learning and working in Europe

2026.07.29.

Europass Mobility is an official European Union document used to describe an organised period of learning, training or volunteering in Europe, including EFTA and EEA member states. It presents the skills acquired and the activities carried out during that period.

Europass Mobility is also a free set of tools that provides a new way of helping people make their qualifications and competences clearly and easily understood in EU Member States, EFTA/EEA countries and candidate countries.

Europass Mobility gives opportunity to find the most suitable work and study related opportunities throughout Europe, based on the given achievements, qualifications and skills. The user can adjust advanced search settings concerning country, field of study/course, duration etc. The new online secured system allows users to store their personal data, documents, degrees, diploma and issuing now can be done through the platform by educational institutions and training centres.

Why is it useful to have a Europass Mobility?

  • Europass Mobility records skills and competences acquired during a mobility period, making them comparable and transparent.
  • The document can be issued in several languages.
  • It can be helpful in finding a job.
  • Issuance and usage of the document is completely free and voluntary.

Europass Mobility is for job seekers, applicants, students, employers, educational institutions and training centers. Europass Mobility will be especially helpful when people move between countries to learn or to work.

For more information on the Europass Mobility certificate and on other documents of the Europass Portfolio, please visit the following sites: https://europass.europa.eu/en, https://europass.tpf.hu/

BME GTK encourages students participating in mobility programmes to obtain a Europass Mobility certificate, as it can strengthen their CV and help them showcase their international experience to future employers across Europe.
