New Elective Course Opens the Door to Europe: Study, Connect, Move with EELISA and Erasmus+
A new elective course, “Study, Connect, Move: EELISA and Erasmus+”, will be launched at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in Autumn 2026, offering students an introduction to the opportunities provided by the EELISA European University Alliance and the Erasmus+ programme. The course is built around the opportunities created by EELISA, a network bringing together 10 universities across 8 countries into a single European learning community.
Whether considering a semester abroad, a short-term mobility programme, or an international traineeship, participants can also gain valuable knowledge about the opportunities available through Erasmus+ and related initiatives.
During the semester, students will:
- learn about the EELISA European University Alliance;
- participate in international BME and EELISA activities;
- develop their own mobility and community initiative proposals.
The 3-credit course (in Neptun: BMEEOFTBsFE002-00) helps participants explore international study and mobility options, connect with students across Europe. Students will also have the chance to gain valuable practical knowledge about studying and collaborating abroad.
The first edition of the course will launch in Autumn 2026. Classes are scheduled for Thursdays from 14:00 to 16:00 in Building K (1111 Budapest, Műegyetem rkp. 3.) although some sessions will take place in alternative formats, including EELISA events, international programmes, and external professional activities. This flexible structure is intended to provide students with direct exposure to international communities and real-world experiences.
