Regional economics and management aspects of sustainability are important parts of the programme as well. Courses are highly workshop-oriented, where students may work together to focus local and regional aspects of actual global sustainability challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Our experts will be capable of creatively and innovatively contribute to sustainability and regional policy-making, strategic planning and project programming, both in governments and in private enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Basic information<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Programme Director: <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kornygazd.bme.hu\/en\/munkatarsak\/szalmane-dr-csete-maria\">Dr. M\u00e1ria Szalm\u00e1n\u00e9 Csete<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Level of Studies: <strong>MSc<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mode of Studies: <strong>Full-time<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Qualitication: <strong>Economist, specialisation in Regional and Environmental Economic Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Duration of the Programme: <strong>4 semesters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Language of Instruction: <strong>English<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application period<\/strong>:<br \/>\nFor the Fall semesters: <strong>1 April &#8211; 15 May<\/strong><br \/>\nFor the Spring semesters: <strong>15 October &#8211; 15 November<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gtk.bme.hu\/en\/for-applicants\/fee-structure\/\"><strong>Tuition Fee<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Admission criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Here you can read the general conditions of admission into the Master in Regional and Environmental Economics.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nDegree accepted for admittance into the master in Regional and Environmental Economics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>BSc\/BA in Economics, Management or Engineering\/Natural Sciences<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In case of BA\/BSc in Engineering\/Natural Sciences it is necessary to prove a minimum of <strong>60 ECTS<\/strong> equivalent in the following disciplines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>20 ECTS in Quantitative Studies (mathematics, statistics, computer science\/programming, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>20 ECTS in Economics and Management Studies (micro and macroeconomics, international economics, environmental economics, economics theory, economics statistics, economic modelling, economic policy, regional economics, European economy, public policy, business economics, accounting, controlling, human resources, business law, marketing, management and organization, production management, decision theory and methodology, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>20 ECTS in Natural or Social Sciences (International or European studies, general and business law, sociology, psychology, philosophy, biology, physics, chemistry, geography, earth sciences, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants can be admitted with <strong>40 ECTS<\/strong> from the above listed disciplines on the condition that they collect the remaining 20 ECTS during the first year of their studies<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nECTS-proof<\/strong><br \/>\nECTS-proof is compulsory for all applicants regardless of their preliminary studies and the discipline of BA\/BSc diploma<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nForeign Language Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>English language skills at B2 level, proven by one of the following internationally recognised certificates:<br \/>\n<strong>IELTS min. 5.0, Cambridge B2 First (FCE) min. 160, TOEFL iBT min. 72, Trinity Integrated Skills In English (ISE) min.
