It examines how students, faculty, professional staff, employers, and alumni assess progress in both areas.

Key findings:

AI use is widespread, but capability gaps remain. More than 89% of each group report using AI tools, yet few describe themselves as experts, and many call for structured training.

Policy is present but often incomplete. While 73% of universities report having an AI policy, coverage across research, teaching, and administration is uneven.

Employers are clear in their expectations. 93% use AI tools, and more than 75% expect graduates to arrive with practical AI experience.

Sustainability continues to carry weight. 75% of employers regard it as very or extremely important in a business degree, with climate change, pollution, and social inequality cited most frequently.

The conclusion is unambiguous: experimentation is no longer sufficient. Institutions are expected to move from early adoption to coherent capability.

Download the full report here: See-the-future-report-2026 EFMD download.pdf

Link: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/efmd-global_businesseducation-ai-artificialintelligence-activity-7427287814918238208-S084?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAACN9Ys0B1pIoOoelCohx0SN9htCjQl39QfY

AI and sustainability now sit at the centre of business education strategy, not peripheral themes.
