The Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (GTK) had the honor to host the promotion of book “Patterns of the Future by Finnish author Markku Wilenius on Tuesday, 8 October, 2019. The event was organised in frame of the cooperation between the Hungarian National Bank and BME.
About the author: Markku Wilenius (UNESCO Chair in Learning Society and Futures of Education; Club of Rome; Finland Futures Research Centre; Turku School of Economics – University of Turku; Helsinki Office) is a renowned futurist, author and speaker with more than 25 years’ experience in future studies.
Patterns of the Future explains the current world using the theory of long-term development waves. Markku Wilenius, argues that we are now entering the sixth wave which will challenge our current values, institutions and business models. Using a systems-based approach, Patterns of the Future analyses how corporations and the public sector can navigate in the sixth wave.
