The core objective of the IEOM Society is to promote global thinking in Industrial Engineering (IE) and Operations Management (OM) by providing communication tools and a suitable network for participants, especially in developing countries.

Each year, the IEOM Society rewards academics, researchers and professionals who have made outstanding contributions to engineering education, management education, industry and innovation.

We are proud to announce that Dr. Tamás Koltai, Dean of our Faculty, has been nominated for the OM Teaching Excellence Award in one of the categories of this prestigious recognition this year, what he received at the 4th European Rome Conference on 5 August 2021.

The award is given to outstanding teachers who represent their profession in a high standard, inspire their students who want to learn, show commitment to teaching students, lead by example, help students develop their careers, and introduce their students to the profession through practice-oriented training.
