What is EELISA?

The European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance (EELISA) is the first alliance of higher education institutions (engineering graduate schools, technical universities and full-spectrum universities) from different European countries to define and implement a common model of the European engineer rooted in society.

EELISA also pays tribute to Elisa Leonida Zamfirescu (1887-1973), the first woman to obtain a degree in engineering in the world.

Objectives of the EELISA project (via the call for applications)

BME and the EELISA alliance have a common goal to encourage BME students to participate in the activities of the EELISA association through short academic mobility periods and to build EELISA communities with the following renowned European partner institutions:

  • Universite Paris Sciences et Lettres (France)
  • École des Ponts ParisTech (France)
  • Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany)
  • Scuola Normale Superiore Pisa (Italy)
