Many talented student startups participated in the Danube Cup 2023 at the International Final Pitch Competition in Passau and Regensburg. For the first time, Hungarians have won the international competition cup, a student group from BME called Gellit. The team members are Márton Mészáros, Szabolcs Farkas and Nóra Mogyoróssy who won the first prize and the grand prize of 1,000 euros.
The winning idea, Gellit is an innovative fertilizer formula, that keeps the soil hydrated while slowly releasing nutrients for crops to grow. Farms can use the technology to produce fertilizers for themselves. Gellit’s new technology helps agriculture to use bio-organic fertilizer in an even more efficient way.
