Sustainability, challenges and communication in a changing world

2022.12.01.

The Intensive Seminar Programme was organized again in 2022 as a continuation of the longstanding tradition of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences.

This year the Intensive Seminar Programme takes place from 28 November to 3 December 2022.

The programme aims to broaden the horizons of students studying in various business and management-related Master’s programmes of the Faculty, and to bring full-time and part-time students closer to the business world.  The motto of this year’s event which runs both in English and Hungarian, is “Management challenges, communication, and connections in a changing world”.

Ten international speakers from different higher education institutions and the corporate sector participate in the 6-day event. Students can also choose from a selection of lectures and workshops by distinguished lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.  This year, students also have the opportunity to participate in specialized workshops facilitated by colleagues from our Faculty, especially from the Quantitative Social and Management Sciences Research Centre.

Sustainability is a key theme of the Intensive Seminar Programme with several related presentations.  The fact that the Budapest University of Technology and Economics was ranked first among Hungarian universities in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2023 in the Environmental Impact category gives even higher relevance to the topic.

One of the highlights of the programme is the Women in Business Day on 2 December. The thematic day is an element of the GTK Alumni Programme, as the speakers of the day are mainly women graduates of the Faculty’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme, who are in senior positions and who also share their career paths in their lectures.

All the lectures and the Networking Event are free to attend and the organizers welcome all BME colleagues.
