A special lecture on the geopolitics of artefacts

Dr. Pieter Vermaas, Associate Professor at the Ethics and Philosophy of Technology Department of Delft University of Technology will visit Budapest and offer insights into his current research activities via a lecture titled

“The geopolitics of artefacts: a task for philosophy of technology.”
The case: quantum technologies.

Pieter Vermaas joined the Delft University of Technology after obtaining his PhD on the philosophy of quantum mechanics at the Institute for History and Foundations of Science at Utrecht University. His current research focuses on design and is aimed at analysing design methods for understanding what design is and for validating design methods.
