AI for T/I – Artificial Intelligence for Translation and Interpreting – Conference Invitation

On behalf of the Centre for Modern Languages, we warmly invite everyone to our international conference organized within the framework of EELISA, in collaboration with our Swiss (ZHAW) and Spanish (UPM) partners. The conference is titled:

AI for T/I – Artificial Intelligence for Translation and Interpreting

• Date: October 2–3, 2025
• Venue: Budapest, BME, Building I (and online via the link provided in the program booklet)

At this event, researchers, educators, and industry representatives from various fields – including artificial intelligence, engineering, and language mediation – will present and discuss the latest research findings and industry trends.

Alongside speakers from GTK (Dr. Anikó Grad-Gyenge, Dr. Mihály Héder, Dr. Márta Fischer, Krisztina Horváth) and VIK (Csaba Hegedűs), market players (memoQ, MKIFK, Edimart) will also deliver talks/workshops. Furthermore, two panel discussions will be held with representatives from universities and the language industry. In addition, EELISA students can take part in a hackathon workshop.
