2025.11.24.

The winners of this year’s Élet és Tudomány (Life and Science) journal competition have been announced.

In the ceremonial hall of BME’s K Building, the awards for the joint article competition organized by BME, the Élet és Tudomány journal, and the Pro Progressio Foundation were presented. The competition, which invites BME faculty and students to write popular science articles, has now been running for 10 years.

We proudly welcome two students from the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences in the Student Category.

Awardees – Student Category

  1. Szabolcs Torma (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Department of Automation and Applied Informatics): “Generative AI Beyond ChatGPT: Generative Artificial Intelligence in Neuroimaging”
  2. Levente Varga (Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, Department of Finance): “Brake or Engine? – Foreign Battery Investments from a Hungarian Perspective”
  3. Zoé Vecsenyi-Nagy (Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, Department of Sociology and Communication): “The Impact of Smart Devices on Children’s Social Skills”

The award ceremony was accompanied by the first event of the new season of the Future Planner popular science series, where the two first-place winners also gave presentations. A detailed report on this will soon be published on BME .
