Fee-paying Students

If you want to study at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) you have to fill our online application form.

Application Process

Application period:
For the Fall semester: 1st April – 1st June
For the Spring semester: 1st October- 1st December
(
In Spring intake only the Master in Finance and Master in Regional and Environmental Economics programmes are available)

Before you proceed to the online form read the general information for admission.


Documents you have to upload for the application in the E-admission portal (for MSc):
1) CV
2) Copy of Passport
3) BSc certificate
4) Transcript of Records of the previous studies
5) 2 Recommendation Letters
6) Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL or IETLS)
7) Receipt of the transfer of 100 euro for application fee


For the Ph.D. programme the application documents are:
1) Professional CV
2) Copy of the document(s) certifying the required level of education (MA or MSc degree and the Transcript of Records)
3) Copy of Passport
4) Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS)
5) Research Plan
6) Documents proving previous professional or academic achievements ( publications)
7) Receipt of the transfer of 100 euro for application fee

Selection procedure:

The selection procedure involves two parts:

  • The first part is an online entry test for which applicants get an invitation via email.
  • The second part is an oral interview which will also be conducted online, where applicants are expected to express their motivation for joining the programme

 

Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme

The application starts around October/November every year for the next academic year.
