Dear GTK Students,
Education is proceeding amidst unusual circumstances in the Hungarian Higher Education System, and this also includes the BME GTK. Besides the technical difficulties and professional challenges, our situation has become complicated as a consequence of the change of our everyday life as well. In this unusual situation, however, one can also see enormous opportunities. Proper answers to the present challenges may contribute to our professional, intellectual and social development.
Despite all problems the University and our Faculty continue to function. Classes, consultations and exams have resumed with the aid of our IT systems. The Faculty Council met on the 25th of March in full attendance, with the members of the Students’ Union present, using the Teams application to discuss and vote on matters of associate professors’ applications, members of the final exam committees and awards recommendations. Life goes on; the GTK continues to exist and thrive not only physically, but virtually.
All GTK faculty members continue to work to ensure that you can successfully complete your studies in this semester, in spite of the strange circumstances, and with as little professional compromise as possible. In this enormous task we are all depend on each other. Please approach the difficulties with patience, help each other and your professors. In the meanwhile, try to take advantage of the possibilities offered by the sudden, rapid inflow of information technology into the educational field.
I wish all students of the GTK patience, perseverance and good health in the times to come!
