‘Beyond Mobilty & Exchange’ – Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) is inviting you to Budapest, Hungary to discover one of the most prestigious technical universities in Central Europe. During the five-day programme you will have the opportunity to learn about the most significant and exciting labs and projects, while exploring our university’s EELISA communities, activities and the city’s built heritage.

Who can apply

Administrative and academic staff members, primarily international staff (IRO) from Erasmus+ partner universities of Budapest University of Technology and Economics involved in or familiar with international students’ affairs at their home university. An active engagement of all participants is expected throughout the Staff Week. To guarantee a realisation of the Staff Week, a minimum number of 15 participants in total is required.

Please kindly note that we can accept maximum 30 participants altogether, and that the applications will be checked and selected based on the BME Staff Week Selection Criteria (see later).

Program – Schedule

Throughout the week we would like to give opportunity for participants to learn about:

  • Sustainable technology and management
  • BME’s EELISA communities, their activities
  • Intercultural competences
  • Best practices in internationalization
  • Erasmus without paper
  • Student recruitment
  • and Budapest’s built heritage

  • Applicants from EELISA member universities have priority.

  • We also consider multiple factors with the aim of diversifying the group as much as possible, such as choosing preferably one person per home university and being balanced in terms of the representation of genders, positions (administrative or academic staff member) and home countries/languages.

Please kindly note that we keep the right of selecting the participants based on the described above factors.

Cancellation policy

Please note that if you need to cancel your participation, we understand, but after the deadline for payment, 20th April, it is not possible to receive a refund. Thanks for your understanding.

Fees

The participation fee is 300 €/person. Travel and accommodation costs are expected to be covered by the participant via their home university Erasmus+Staff Mobility Scheme.

Accomodation

Please note that no reservation has been made for Staff Week participants, you need to contact the hotels for your own booking process.
