Procurement Excellence Programme
The Procurement Excellence Programme provides students with the opportunity to gain in-depth, practice-oriented knowledge in the fields of procurement and supply chain management and to demonstrate their achievements by earning a Procurement Excellence Certificate.
Requirements for obtaining the Procurement Excellence Certificate
Students must complete at least 21 credits according to the following structure:
- 13 credits from mandatory courses (3 courses)
- At least 8 credits from elective courses (selected from the 4 designated courses)
Most courses are available in both Hungarian and English. The required credits may be completed over any number of semesters; however, all courses must be completed within the same degree programme.
Mandatory Courses
- BMEGT20MN03 Quality Management – 5 credits
- BMEGT20VVV1000-00 Basics of Procurement – 3 credits
- BMEGT20VVV1001-00 Category Management – 5 credits
Elective Courses
- BMEGT20MN10 Logistics and Supply Chain Management – 5 credits
- BMEGT20MN60 Today’s Quality Management Challenges – 3 credits
- BMEGT20MN04 Strategic Management – 3 credits
- BMEGT20MN13 Project Management – 5 credits

To obtain the certificate, students must apply using the online form below, no later than the last day of the relevant examination period:
Procurement Excellence Programme
After submitting their application, students will receive information about the certificate collection process.
The Procurement Excellence Programme was established through a collaboration between the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and Schneider Electric. Each year, certificates are presented at a joint ceremonial event organized by the two partners.
