AI Compliance Officer & AI Auditor Training: One of Hungary’s First AI Compliance Professional Programs Successfully Concludes

2026.08.04.

Regulation of AI systems has become one of the most significant compliance challenges for organizations in just a few years. In response to this shift, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), QTICS, and NoBoVersum launched Hungary’s first university-backed AI Compliance Officer & AI Auditor training programs.

The five-month hybrid program has now been successfully completed. Participants fulfilled all program requirements, completed the final examination, and those who passed the exam received a joint certificate issued by BME, QTICS, and NoBoVersum.

Five Months of Intensive Collaboration

During the program, which ran from February to June, participants worked together over eight days of practical training, interactive workshops, and consultations, while digital e-learning materials and self-administered practice tests helped them prepare.

The program focused not only on understanding the legal requirements of the AI Act but also on their practical implementation. Participants explored topics including AI system risk assessment, the development of AI governance frameworks, AI auditing, data protection and compliance issues, and case studies based on real organizational scenarios. They also stayed up to date with the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape surrounding AI.

The practical workshops became particularly valuable forums for professional collaboration. Participants from diverse backgrounds – including legal, IT, data protection, quality management, audit, and compliance – shared their own experiences with one another, allowing discussions to extend well beyond the planned curriculum.

By the Numbers

A total of 30 participants completed the program, supported by nearly ten instructors and industry practitioners.

As planned, the program concluded successfully. During the final examination, participants demonstrated both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills they had acquired over the five-month course by working through a comprehensive real-world case study.

One of Hungary’s First Programs in a New Professional Field

AI compliance has become far more than simply understanding another regulation. Organizations are now expected to meet technological, legal, risk management, and governance requirements simultaneously, creating demand for new competencies and entirely new professional roles.

The objective of the program was therefore not only to provide participants with theoretical knowledge but also to equip them with practical methodologies and a hands-on perspective that they can immediately apply within their own organizations.

We are proud that, through the collaboration of the BME, QTICS, and NoBoVersum, we were among the first in Hungary to launch a comprehensive university-backed training program specifically designed to develop AI Compliance Officer and AI Auditor competencies.

The experience gained over the five months confirmed our expectations: as the AI Act comes into force, demand continues to grow for professionals capable of managing AI compliance, auditing, and governance responsibilities through a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach.

Thank You to Our Participants!

Over the course of five months, a remarkable professional community emerged. Participants not only learned together but also benefited greatly from one another’s expertise and perspectives. We would like to thank every participant for their active engagement, professional openness, and the positive atmosphere that accompanied every workshop and collaborative session. We are confident that the professional relationships established during the program will continue to grow in the future.

Applications Are Now Open for the Next Academic Year!

Following the successful completion of the first year, applications are now open for the next AI Compliance Officer & AI Auditor training program.

If you would like to prepare for the requirements of the AI Act or are responsible for AI compliance, auditing, governance, or risk management within your organization, we would be delighted to welcome you the next academic year.
