BME joins AWS Kiro students program
Students at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) can now access Kiro, Amazon Web Services’ AI-powered software development platform, free of charge for one year through the newly launched Kiro Students program. BME is currently the only Hungarian university participating in the international initiative, which gives students hands-on experience with industry-grade AI development tools.
For students of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (GTK), the program offers valuable opportunities to develop digital and AI-related competencies through coursework, interdisciplinary projects, and innovation-focused initiatives. Kiro supports the entire software development process and enables users to transform natural-language ideas into structured development plans and executable tasks.
By working with the same AI-assisted tools increasingly used by leading technology companies, GTK students can gain practical experience that strengthens their employability and prepares them for the rapidly evolving digital workplace. Students can register using their BME e-mail address and verify their status through the SheerID system.
